Only when our hearts are full, we can forgive. Forgiveness does not happen in the mind, but in the body and the soul. Forgiveness is not something that the mind can create, it must be felt at the cellular level, deeply in our bodies.

When our hearts are full of love, then, and only then, there’s no need to carry the anger, the resentment and the bitterness. We are free to let them go. And it’s not an outside love that I am talking about here but an inner love from ourselves to ourselves. Yes, it can be nourished by Nature, the Universe, or God, but it must be an inner love.

There comes a moment when the body feels that it’s not good anymore to hold on to these emotions and carry them on the shoulders. We are so much freer when we experience love, and compassion, and understanding, and lovingkindness.

Love is all we need. Once we understand that we are the prime giver of love to ourselves, we are going to be free from our past, our expectations, our ego that needs comfort and acknowledgment from the outside world. Because we don’t need anyone or anything to define us who we are, WE KNOW who we are.

Forgiveness is the ultimate form of love. At least it seems that way to me…right now, in this moment…
